🚑 Help Us Build the ASU Calming Unit — A Mobile Sensory-Safe Space for Kids in Crisis

Across Nebraska, families with children on the autism spectrum face the unimaginable: watching their child spiral during an overwhelming moment — in public, on the road, or during an emergency — with nowhere quiet, dark, or safe to go.

At Autism Support Unit (ASU), we believe that every child deserves a moment of calm, even in chaos. That’s why we’re raising support to build something that doesn’t exist yet: a reconfigured ambulance that acts as a mobile sensory-safe calming room.

This vehicle will travel to schools, community events, or crisis scenes where sensory relief is urgently needed. It won’t transport patients — it will bring peace.

ASU LLC is not a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. This is a grassroots community project organized under a limited liability company (LLC). Donations made through this page are not tax-deductible, and will be treated as business income used solely to fund the ASU Calming Unit initiative.

100% of the proceeds will go toward this project’s costs. We commit to sharing updates, progress photos, and proof of fund usage transparently via our [Facebook page] and this website.
